4º ESO STUDENTS REPORT ON THE VISIT
By Carlos Acosta Miranda and Damián Trujillo Zurita 4ºA
On 26th May we did an interesting excursion to the science fair in La Laguna, in Adelantado Square. This visit was organised by Corina, the Biology student doing the master for teachers, and Marta, our biology teacher, We went together with another baccalaureate class. We discovered different expositions dedicated to a variety of subjects like chemistry, health, engineering, technology, biodiversity and environment…. Professionals showed us how they learnt and worked. We toured through many stands where we were shown different experiences, gadgets… First a representative from the University of La Laguna “CSIC”, explained us how the water was contaminated. Then a biologist showed different animals that are in danger of extinction in the Canary Islands. There were other interesting stands, but the best one for us was a technology teacher who was creating tools with a 3D printer. After a small break of 30 minutes for having breakfast we entered in the world of technology programming an Arduino plaque. Finally we played a video game to create renewable energy and we returned to the high school. That was a visit worth doing!
